Zepeda: Teachers need job-embedded professional development

To better support their teachers, school leaders must move away from one-size- fits-all professional development activities towards job-embedded learning, a powerful form of professional development that is characterized by active learning and reflection grounded in the context of a teachers' work environment, writes Sally Zepeda, a professor of educational administration and policy, in her new book, "Job-Embedded Professional Development."
