College of Education alumni had a chance to network in New York City in advance of the Peabody Awards with a reception at ABC studios.

The event, which took place at the network's Manhattan offices, brought about 60 College of Education alumni and friends to ABC's conference room. Attendees heard remarks from Craig H. Kennedy, dean of the college, as well as host Tonya Harris Cornileus (MEd '04, PhD '10), vice president of learning and organizational development at ESPN. Meredith Johnson, executive director of alumni relations at UGA, and Randall Abney, chair of the College of Education's Board of Visitors, also spoke.
