Maggie Horne, a student athletic trainer at Spalding High School, was recently featured in the Griffin Daily News for her outstanding accomplishments in the field.

Before her freshman year, Horne started working as a student manager for her high school's football team and has since moved into a trainer position under the school's head trainer Jett Daniel.

The rising junior attended [UGA's Athletic Training Student Workshop](/news/2015/07/high-school-senior-set-on-pursuing-a-career-in- athletic-training) for the second time earlier this summer to learn more about the profession, as well as a variety of skills related to rehabilitation. In the future, Horne wants to earn a master's degree in athletic training and a doctorate in physical therapy.
