The five story red brick building in Athens, Georgia, know as River's Crossing, was built in 1968 through a joint effor between the Georgia Department of Human Resources and the University of Georgia.

River's Crossing became home to faculty and staff from several COE departments in 1997. The building houses both staff and classroom spaces, and is equipped with classroom features such as smartboards, overhead projectors and Wi-Fi.

The organization OLLI@UGA (the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Georgia), provides learning and social activities for adults 55 and older.
