Our exercise faculty members are nationally recognized in areas including biomechanics, exercise physiology, and exercise psychology.

Students get hands-on experience through small class labs and internships, or they may join department research projects on topics including weight loss, disability, and measuring physical activity with tracking devices. Our graduates go on to become fitness specialists, personal trainers, sports performance professionals and other professionals in the allied health medical fields.

Faculty for core classes are nationally recognized experts in the field. Students in this major have an interest in human movement to enhance health and fitness or for sports performance. The coursework, in addition to research labs and practicum experiences, allows students to pursue national certifications, professional and graduate programs, and jobs in the profession.
