Physical Education

The importance of physical education is a hot topic in today’s society with an emphasis being put on the benefits of health and wellness education in the United States. Students who study physical and health education, movement and sports studies, and other wellness-related programs go on to make a difference in the lives of those around them whether it’s as a coach, a leader in a recreational facility, a PE teacher, or physical activity program director. The need for physical education continues to be prominent, and UGA’s Department of Kinesiology will help you to fulfill that need through its various academic areas.
