Advance your skills in teaching with the MEd in Mathematics Education for prekindergarten through eighth grade. Our program includes courses, field experiences, and a portfolio project, and it combines both in-person and online instruction.
Students have an option to earn the coaching endorsement and the K-5 mathematics endorsement. Graduates have gone on to become leaders in their schools, systems, and the state.
Almost all in-state students begin their studies at UGA paying limited tuition or fees. Please note that these amounts are subject to change and are meant to give prospective students an idea of the costs associated with a degree at the University of Georgia College of Education.
Students may qualify for a variety of assistantships, scholarships, and other financial awards to help offset the cost of tuition, housing, and other expenses.
Most graduate students at UGA are not assigned to a faculty advisor until after admittance. A close working relationship with your advisor is paramount to progressing through your program of study.
Most of your fellow students will be practicing teachers. This provides you with an excellent opportunity to gain a new set of colleagues, to compare professional experiences, and to develop personal relationships.
The UGA Griffin Campus is located 40 miles south of Atlanta in Griffin, Georgia, and hosts several of the university's programs.
