Whether you live in Athens or on the other side of the world, we offer several ways for you to get involved with the College of Education. Our alumni and friends give of their time, their talents, and their treasure to improve the success of our students.

Give of Your Time and Talents

Be on an Alumni Panel

In conjunction with our Office of Student Services, the College of Education hosts alumni discussion panels that provide a great opportunity for students to connect with alumni and learn about topics that will enhance their professional development. Designed to complement a classroom education, panel topics vary throughout the year depending on current educational trends. Each panel consists of four in-person panelists and one moderator. We will also occasionally feature call-in panelists in order to accommodate long-distance alumni.

Interested in serving on a panel? Please contact Nancy Butler, associate director of alumni relations.

Host a College Event in Your Area

We want to hear from our alumni across Georgia and across the country! If you are interested in hosting other College of Education graduates in your town for an event, please contact Nancy Butler for more information and details.

Are you an Employer? Help Students Through:

Employer Information Sessions

We are dedicated to helping students and employers connect! Information sessions are one of the most valuable opportunities in the campus recruiting process because they allow employers to highlight their organizations and better inform students about their culture and any available positions. Due to our students' schedules, the best times for these sessions will generally be at or after 4 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Interested employers should contact Nancy Butler.

College of Education Career Fair/On-Campus Interviews

Typically held in early March, the Career Fair event is open to all UGA students, alumni, and the community. Potential employers have the opportunity to meet with UGA faculty during a luncheon, and meet with students during the afternoon career fair. In addition to the career fair, employers may also schedule on-campus interviews throughout the year. To arrange a time and for more information, please contact Nancy Butler.

Dawglink

Dawglink gives employers a free opportunity to post any vacant positions to the UGA Career Center online job and internship database. Only UGA students and alumni have access to review and apply for positions posted in DawgLink. To post positions, please visit our recruitment website and click on the Post Jobs/Internships tab. If you have questions or need help with a posting, please contact Nancy Butler.

Give a Monetary Gift

Our alumni and friends provide essential support to the College of Education through annual, planned, and major gifts. We welcome gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations, and donors can find a variety of ways to support the College.

You can contribute any amount annually to either the College of Education fund or an endowment, and by making an annual donation of $1,000 or more, you will become a member of the Dean's Club and the UGA President's Club. As a young alumnus, if you commit to a monthly gift of $19.08 $228.96/year), you will become a member of our 1908 Club.

If you wish to donate a percentage of your estate to the College, or leave a planned gift, you will become a member of the university's Heritage Society. With this gift, you can leave a lasting impression in an area of your choice while lowering the tax burden for you and your heirs.

A major gift of $10,000 or more to the College dramatically expands opportunities for our students and faculty. Because of your generous donation, the College can continue inspiring the next generation of researchers and leaders.
