Ways to Get Involved

Whether you live in Athens or on the other side of the world, we offer several ways for you to get involved with the College of Education. Our alumni and friends give of their time, their talents, and their treasure to improve the success of our students.

Give of Your Time and Talents

Be on an Alumni Panel

In conjunction with our Office of Student Engagement, the College of Education hosts alumni discussion panels that provide a great opportunity for students to connect with alumni and learn about topics that will enhance their professional development. Designed to complement a classroom education, panel topics vary throughout the year depending on current educational trends. Each panel consists of four in-person panelists and one moderator. We will also occasionally feature call-in panelists in order to accommodate long-distance alumni.

Interested in serving on a panel? Please email us.

Become a Mentor with the UGA Mentor Program

The UGA Mentor Program provides an opportunity for students to search and request an experienced UGA alumni mentor using a variety of search criteria, including identity, industry, and more! Finding a UGA mentor narrows down the world of possibilities to meaningful connections. If you’re not sure where to start, there are guidelines, icebreakers, and resources on this site to help you along the way.

Host a College Event in Your Area

We want to hear from our alumni across Georgia and across the country! If you are interested in hosting other College of Education graduates in your town for an event, please email us for more information and details.

Speak to Students on Campus

Are you interested in speaking to current COE students on campus? If so, please email us your name and what you’d like to speak about.
