The Office of Experiential Learning is committed to providing a range of field experiences that prepare our graduates to be impactful educators and professionals in a diverse society. We strive to make the process efficient and organized across all programs. Our team is dedicated to serving the College of Education in the following ways:
Field experience and clinical practice are part of your coursework, placing you in schools, health clinics, mentoring programs, and other community settings, or as a tutor.
Explore study abroad opportunities that blend coursework with real-world experiences that allow you to also learn about the people and culture of the host country. Drop by our office between 2-5 p.m on Wednesdays to learn more.
View the list of approved experiential learning courses. The College of Education also accepts any S-suffix service learning course, CURO course, UGA-approved study abroad program courses, or any course or non-credit activity approved by another UGA school or college to satisfy the Experiential Learning Requirement. You may also visit the UGA Office of Experiential Learning for more information on the requirement.
The strength of our program also lies in school and community partnerships. If you would like to be a part of a student's experiential learning, please contact Anna Hiers. For information on posting jobs and internships, visit HireUGA.com.
