Born in La Jolla, CA and raised in Lawrenceville, GA, Julia has now been an Athens resident for almost a decade. Additionally, she has lived in Nashville, TN, and Washington, DC, completing an M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration at Vanderbilt and working for The George Washington University as an academic advisor. Julia has primarily served in academic advising settings, most recently as COE's Associate Director of Academic Advising, but also has experience in student programming, residence life, and the first-year experience. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education from UGA's Institute of Higher Education and teaches a section of the COE Transfer Student Seminar each semester.
