Biography

Kelly Edenfield received three degrees, including a PhD, from the University of Georgia in Mathematics Education. She taught high school mathematics in a metro Atlanta school district, and, upon earning her PhD, she took a position as an Assistant Professor at Kennesaw State University. Embracing a unique opportunity to travel the country working with inservice teachers, Dr. Edenfield worked as a professional developer for Carnegie Learning, providing mathematics content and pedagogical on-site support for K-12 mathematics teachers. She then assisted with writing a major revision of the Carnegie Learning middle school mathematics texts. Dr. Edenfield now works, primarily, with preservice and inservice secondary mathematics teachers in content and pedagogy courses.
