Biography

Dr. Guay is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Language and Literacy Department. Before earning her Ph.D., Dr. Guay spent 19 years working as a Speech/Language therapist and Title 1 Reading Teacher at an elementary school in a rural community in Wisconsin. Dr. Guay is interested in early reading/writing development and dyslexia. She teaches undergraduate and graduate in reading instruction and assessment, writing methods, and supports the literacy component of an edTPA courses for future elementary school teachers. Dr. Guay also runs the Reading Clinic for the Language and Literacy Department.
