Born of the red clay roads of Albany, Georgia, Leslie Moon has called Georgia home for most of her life. A world traveler by the age of 11, Leslie lived and traveled in South East Asia as well as various states stretching from California to South Carolina. Leslie lives in NE Georgia, but has called Athens home since 2000 when she entered the University of Georgia as a non-traditional student. Leslie is a Double Dawg graduate with an undergrad degree in History and a masters in Secondary Social Science Education. After teaching for several years, Leslie returned to UGA and has served as an Academic Advisor for Exercise & Sport Science at the College of Education since 2014. Her activities outside of the Arches revolve around family, creative arts and self-sufficiency: she sews, spins yarn, knits, preserves much of her own food, and is working to turn her 10 acre farm-ette into an organic homestead.
