Biography

  • Participated in the second class of the university’s Women’s Leadership Initiative
  • Awarded the Sarah Moss Fellowship (twice)
  • Presented aspects of my research in Washington, DC at the National Press Club, American Enterprise Institute, and Bellwether Partners
  • Appeared on CNN as an expert to reflect on the 60th anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education
  • Consulted with the DeKalb County Public Schools school board and liased with former superintendents Ramona Tyson, Michael Thurmond, and current superintendent Stephen Green
  • Consulted with teachers in Newnan and Fulton counties about how to teach in increasingly diverse classrooms
  • Participated in the Quality Measures professional learning community for improving the preparation of educational leaders in Georgia
  • Participates in the UCEA Professional Development Network for curriculum development in educational leadership programs
