Born of the red clay roads of Albany, Georgia, Leslie Moon has called Georgia home for most of her 55 years. A world traveler by the age of 11, Leslie lived and traveled in South East Asia as well as various states stretching from California to South Carolina. Leslie and her two children have called Athens home since 2000 when she entered the University of Georgia as a non-traditional student. Leslie is a Double Dawg graduate with an undergrad degree in History and a masters in Secondary Social Science Education. After teaching for several years, Leslie returned to UGA and is currently an Academic Advisor at the College of Education. Her world outside of the Arches revolve around self-sufficiency: she sews, spins yarn, knits, preserves her own food, and is working to turn her 10 acre farm-ette into an organic homestead.
