Students in our programs conduct research during their academic career that requires complex quantitative designs. Our students become experts in applying advanced statistical and measurement methods in research. (Note that the MEd in Quantitative Methodology is only open to UGA students currently enrolled in a doctoral program other than Quantitative Methodology).

Our faculty have been recognized with awards from scholarly organizations such as the National Council on Measurement in Education and have served as editors for leading journals in the field. They hold expertise in areas such as:

  • Diagnostic classification modeling
  • Item response theory
  • Program evaluation
  • Educational data mining
  • Psychometrics
  • Hierarchical linear modeling
  • Structural equation modeling
  • Measurement invariance
