Teaching Proficiency Through Reading and Storytelling (TPRS): One-Day Workshop for Language Teachers in the Communicative Input Approach

Saturday, Feb. 24 2018, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Teachers will experience and practice spirited TPRS methods to create engaging and effective instruction in any language, including ESOL. Learn and practice these techniques with a leading expert, Terry Waltz.

This event is for Gwinnett County foreign language teachers' professional learning and as a professional courtesy is extended to teachers and student-teachers in the greater metro area, including Athens!

College of education undergraduate students and faculty/instructors serving the BSED world language program can register for free.

Driving and Parking Directions

Cole Drive is located between the major roads of Five Forks Trikum and Arcado Road in the Lilburn/Stone Mountain area. There are gasoline stations and a Publix Grocery store within 2 miles of the school. Attendees should park in the front of the school (two levels of visitor parking). The event will take place up the driveway in the orchestra room just off the main drive.

Participants should bring their own lunch (coffee and morning snacks provided).


Fee: $60, which includes celebratory snacks from China.
