Camp DIVE is an engaging and enriching summer program for students enrolled in Clarke County Schools grades K-8 that integrates the needs of students and the resources of UGA and the Athens community. This camp provides an opportunity for UGA students to obtain course credit or volunteer hours while working hands-on with students in Clarke County. This program is offered to CCSD students free of charge.
Camp DIVE was created through a partnership between the Clarke County School District, the UGA College of Education, and the Athens-Clarke County community.
UGA undergraduate and graduate students can find course and volunteer opportunities. Schedules, details, and registration for parents of Clarke County students will be available early spring 2018.
One way UGA students can participate in Camp DIVE is by volunteering. Volunteers will help with a variety of tasks, from running breakfast and lunch time and managing students in between sessions to helping out with the afternoon community group programming. If you are interested in volunteering for part or all of Camp DIVE, please apply! For more information, email Ashley Nylin.
The following courses are confirmed for Camp DIVE 2018, which will take place during the month of June:
