A Special Note for 2019:

Thank you for your interest in Camp DIVE! This summer, Camp DIVE will not operate as a stand-alone camp; instead, elements of the camp will be infused into the Clarke County School district’s summer school programming. No courses for UGA students will be offered in conjunction with this year's programming.

If you are a parent/caregiver whose child needs additional academic support over the summer, the school district will have information about summer programs on its website by the end of March.

About Camp DIVE

Camp DIVE (Discover, Inquire, Voice, Explore) was a partnership between the Clarke County School District, the University of Georgia College of Education, and the Athens-Clarke County community that ran for three summers, June 2016 to June 2018.

The purpose of Camp DIVE was to provide an engaging and enriching summer experience for students in kindergarten through eighth grade, while also giving UGA students the opportunity to work with children and youth.

Students at Camp DIVE:

  • Discover their potential
  • Inquire about the world
  • Voice their ideas
  • Explore their community

Daily programming was provided by UGA faculty and students, CCSD teachers, and special guest sessions by local community non-profit groups.
