Teachers talk about Clarke student field trips to UGA

The University of Georgia soon might get more visitors — thousands of Clarke County public school students on regular field trips to UGA's Athens campus.

More than two dozen UGA administrators and teachers gathered last week to talk about the possibility of once-yearly field trips by the school district's students — current enrollment is 12,557 — with the ultimate goal being for every student to visit at least once a year.
