Dayton editor of inaugural issue of Education Law & Policy Review

College of Education professor John Dayton served as editor-in-chief of the inaugural issue of the Education Law & Policy Review, a new law and policy journal.

The Education Law & Policy Review is a publication of the Education Law Consortium (ELC) in cooperation with the Education Law Association (ELA), the premier international education law professional association founded in 1954. The peer-reviewed journal provides scholarly reviews and commentary on national and international issues in education law and policy in K-12 and Higher Education. It publishes leading law and policy research and analysis for use by scholars, policymakers, judges, lawyers and educators.

Dayton, a professor in the Department of Lifelong Education, Administration, and Policy, is a lawyer and educator with experience in public and private legal practice, previously serving as a judicial clerk and as a director of music. He has taught law and policy courses for more than two decades at Indiana University and UGA including education law, special education law, medical law and professional ethics. Dayton is the author of more than a 100 law review articles, books and other publications on law and policy.
