Smagorinsky on new NCTQ Teacher Prep Review

"The NCTQ appears to have little understanding of the relation between an engaging curriculum and student engagement," writes Peter Smagorinsky, Distinguished Research Professor Language and Literacy Education, in a response to the new the National Council on Teacher Quality (NCTQ) Teacher Prep Review. Smagorinsky was asked to write the response by the National Council for Teachers of English and the Conference on English Education. It initially appears on the website of Paul Thomas, associate professor of English education at Furman University.
