Schultz, Kaplan submission named ASHA 2014 Meritorious Poster

A submission by Alisa Schultz, an assistant clinical professor, and Holly Kaplan, a clinical professor in the University of Georgia Speech and Hearing Clinic, has been recognized as a 2014 Meritorious Poster by the Convention Program Committee of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

The presentation, "Research, Evidence, Application, & Learning (REAL) Talks: Inspiring the Future of Communication Disorders," was recognized for showing extraordinary, exceptional, and innovative work. Out of 1,611 poster submissions to the 2014 ASHA national convention Nov. 20-22 in Los Angeles, only 55 were selected for meritorious recognition.

The project was funded by a College of Education Innovations in Teaching grant. Assistance was provided by graduate assistants in the Department of Communication Sciences and Special Education and Ron Braxley, digital media professional associate in the COE's Office of Instructional Technology.
