Researcher: There are more teachers, but less experience
The number of U.S. teachers has grown dramatically in the past three decades. But they're a lot more inexperienced due to a growing number leaving the profession, according to education researcher Richard Ingersoll, the keynote speaker at the UGA College of Education's 2014 State of Education Conference on Sept. 18, reported a front page story in the Sept. 22 Athens Banner-Herald.
