Alumna Sharon Smith named 2015 Gwinnett County Teacher of the Year
Sharon Smith (BSEd '92, PhD '14), a Gifted Language Arts (Grades 1-2) and Early Intervention Program Teacher and Literacy Coach at Brookwood Elementary, was named the 2015 Gwinnett County Teacher of the Year at the School District's annual banquet on November 11. Earlier in the evening, Smith had been named the 2015 Gwinnett County Elementary School Teacher of the Year. Smith received her bachelor's degree in early childhood education and her doctorate in language education from UGA.
