Singh recognized for multicultural efforts
Anneliese Singh, an associate professor in the Department of Counseling and Human Development Services, was named a "rising star" in the field of multicultural psychology by the American Psychological Association. This award is in its first year and will be presented in January at the 2015 National Multicultural Summit and Conference in Atlanta.
The National Multicultural Summit and Conference is a biennial conference co- sponsored by divisions of the American Psychological Association that focus on multicultural issues. The conference started in 1999 and traditionally has only recognized elders in the field.
Singh, who is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association through the Society of Counseling and the Society for the Psychology of Women, is one of four rising stars recognized at the conference.
