Cody: Reform policies are making schools worse, not better
The test-driven education reforms of the federal "No Child Left Behind" law are making American schools worse, not better, said a prominent critic of the school-testing movement during a recent event on the University of Georgia campus.
Anthony Cody, a prominent education blogger and co-founder of the advocacy group Network for Public Education, spent 24 years working in Oakland, California, public schools. His talk was co-sponsored by the College of Education and the Willson Center for Humanities and Arts.
