Alumnus pens regular newspaper column

Tom Poland (ABJ '71, MEd '75) is an author, speaker, and featured columnist for newspapers in Georgia and South Carolina. Poland's columns, "Across The Savannah" and "Life Down South," cover the South, its people, land, and culture. He travels back roads in search of captivating people and forgotten places.

A resident of Columbia, SC, Poland has also written 14 books, the most recent of which is "Georgialina, A Southland As We Knew It."
