It didn't take long for Jack Parish to find something to do in retirement.

Parish, who retired last summer after serving as the College of Education's associate dean for outreach and engagement, recently announced he would serve as interim superintendent for the Clarke County School District. Parish's previous jobs include an elementary school principal, assistant personnel director and assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction in Henry County. He has also served as president of the Georgia School Superintendents Association. In his final year in Henry County, he was a finalist for Georgia Superintendent of the Year.
