Seven Bulldog 100 companies linked to College of Education

The ninth annual Bulldog 100 list honors seven alumni from the University of Georgia College of Education.

This annual recognition, sponsored by the UGA Alumni Association, recognizes the fastest-growing businesses owned or operated by UGA alumni. The winners were picked from more than 500 nominations with rankings based on a compounded annual growth rate over a three-year period.

This year's fastest-growing businesses with ties to the College of Education include:

Activekidz and Adult Therapy Services, Monroe, Georgia (Susan Cook, BSED '94): Susan Cook started Activekidz in 2001, out of a conviction to help society. Activekidz and Adult Therapy Services provides state of the art, compassionate therapy services for children who have a variety of orthopedic, neurological and developmental needs, with a focus on functional outcomes.
Avid Bookshop, Athens, Georgia (Janet Geddis, MED '06): Started in 2011, Avid Bookshop has two Athens locations that feature curated selections of books for all ages. The bookstore provides a personalized shopping experience in-store, as well as more modern offerings like online shopping, streaming audiobooks, hundreds of events per year, book club meetings, regular children's story times and more.
Burney-Campbell Investments, LLC, Watkinsville, Georgia (Sherrie Campbell, BSED '85, MED '91): Established in 1974, the Burney Company is an investment advisor registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company provides professional management of investments for individual and corporate clients located throughout the country.
Crisp Video Group, Atlanta, Georgia (Michael Mogill, BSED '08): Crisp Video Group is a client-focused, results-oriented video production and marketing company whose mission is to use video to help clients tell their brand's story in a meaningful and results-driven way.
Extra Special People, Watkinsville, Georgia (Laura Whitaker, BSED '07, MED '10): Founded in 1986, Extra Special People (ESP) offers high-quality affordable programs for people with special needs. Since becoming executive director in 2006, Laura Whitaker has expanded ESP's participation opportunities to include weekend and after-school programs, family support programs, as well as events and summer camp.
Parisleaf, Gainesville, Florida (Alison Paris, BSED '08): Parisleaf is a branding, design and digital agency that seeks unique creative opportunities with their clients. The company specializes in web design, motion graphics, print design, photography, visual identity, video and more.
Resource Alliance, Alpharetta, Georgia (Scott Mastley, BSED '94, MBA '04): Founded in 2001, Resource Alliance is a national human resources solutions company that offers a full range of professional services to help employers with their business challenges. Many of their clients are located throughout the country.

This is the second year in a row that Activekidz and Adult Therapy; Avid Bookshop; Burney-Campbell Investments, LLC; Crisp Video Group; Extra Special People; and Resource Alliance have made the list.

All of the Bulldog 100 winners will be honored at the Atlanta Hyatt Regency on Jan. 27. Registration for the event is available online and is open to the public.
