There's no shame in sweat, says kinesiology department head

Her insights were part of an article in Women's Health Magazine promoting the idea of sweat, and encouraging women to embrace it as part of regular, healthy exercise. The article appeared in the December issue.
"Being drenched in sweat forces you to shift your focus from your appearance to your experience," said Buckworth, whose research focuses on exercise motivation, obesity and women's health.
And because you're not going to see physical changes in your body as the result of one workout, sweating offers that "instant gratification" that you have achieved something, she added.
