College moves up to No. 36 in country

The University of Georgia College of Education remained steady in its ranking among graduate schools of education, according to new data released by U.S. News & World Report, moving up one position to No. 36 for the 2019-2020 list.

In the new standings, released today, the College is in a three-way tie for the 36th spot, sharing it with the University of California Davis and the University of Missouri. Last year, the College was ranked No. 37, a three-way tie with Texas A&M University-College Station and the University of California Davis.

The College's ranking is generally reflective of the positive movement made by UGA in several ranking lists published today, including the School of Law, the School of Public and International Affairs, the Terry College of Business, the School of Social Work, the College of Engineering and the College of Veterinary Medicine.

The School of Law rose five spots to No. 27, the largest jump this year of any law school in the top 30. The School of Public and International Affairs rose to No. 5 among public affairs graduate programs, the School of Social Work's master of social work program moved up to No. 22 among graduate programs and Terry College's full-time MBA program moved up three spots to No. 37.
