Judi Wilson (MEd '93, EdS '95), an alumna of the UGA College of Education's department of educational theory and practice, was recently named dean of the College of Education at Augusta University.

As dean, Wilson will provide a strategic vision for the College's academic and professional development programs, while working with faculty to establish new programs in support of interdisciplinary research. With nearly 30 years of experience as an educator and administrator, she began serving as the College's interim dean in June 2018.

"I am truly honored to serve as dean, and I am excited to continue working with my colleagues as we look to tackle the challenges facing the next generation of teachers, counselors, educational leaders and kinesiology experts," Wilson told the Augusta Chronicle.

Under her leadership, the College expanded study abroad and online educational opportunities for students and has received over $1 million in grants to fund educational activities related to science, mathematics and cyberliteracy.
