Alumna selected by U.S. Department of State for prestigious English language teaching fellowship

Vicki Hale (M.Ed. ’18), a graduate of the Mary Frances Early College of Education’s TESOL and World Language Education certificate program, has been selected for a 10-month U.S. Department of State fellowship.

Hale is one of 200 U.S. citizens selected for the 2021-22 English Language Fellow Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. From Jan. – Nov. 2022, she will train teachers and teach English at St. Joseph’s College for Women in Visakhapatnam, India.

Fellows in the program work with educators and students to improve English language education at universities in more than 80 countries. Read more about the fellowship on the U.S. Department of State website.
