Faculty members receive SACES awards

Three faculty members and one program in the Department of Counseling and Human Development Services received awards from the Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (SACES).

  • SACES Outstanding Teaching Award: Brandee Appling, associate professor
  • SACES Outstanding Tenured Counselor Educator Award: Deryl Bailey, professor and admissions coordinator
  • SACES L. DiAnne Borders Clinical Supervision Award: George McMahon, clinical associate professor and associate department head
  • SACES Outstanding Doctoral Counselor Education and Supervision Program Award: Doctoral program in counselor education and supervision
Founded in 1949, SACES supports and provides education and community for counselor educators and supervisors. The awards will be given out at SACES’s biannual conference in Baltimore Nov. 3-5.
