Elaine Adams, an associate professor in the Department of Workforce Education and Instructional Technology, received the Teacher Educator of the Year Award from the Georgia Marketing Education Association (GMEA).

The award recognizes a teacher educator who has demonstrated innovation in marketing teacher education, leadership in improving marketing education, and commitment to preparing marketing education teachers to deliver high-quality career and technical education programs.

“I am extremely proud to be presented with the GMEA Teacher Educator of the Year Award. Preparing marketing education and other career and technical education teachers is a tremendous honor and terrific joy,” Adams said. “It is amazing to work with Georgia’s marketing teachers. Their recognition of my contributions to our profession is greatly valued.”

She will receive the award at the Georgia Association for Career and Technical Education Conference Marketing Luncheon in June.
