Bryan McCullick, professor and coordinator of the health and physical education teacher-preparation program in the Department of Kinesiology, received the 2023 Research Council Distinguished Service Award from the Society of Health and Physical Educators (SHAPE America).

The award recognizes a SHAPE America member whose service and impact significantly contributed to the organization’s Research Council.

“Considering the great amount of effort provided by a large number of individuals to the SHAPE Research Council, I am incredibly honored to have received this award,” McCullick said. “There are many deserving people and I’m grateful to be viewed as one.”

He received the award at the SHAPE America National Convention and Expo in late March.
