Office of Academic Programs

Our mission is to provide support and education to students and faculty to advance excellence in learning, teaching, and service.

The Office of Academic Programs handles five major areas within the college:

  • Assessment and accreditation
  • Curriculum processes
  • Student affairs
  • International programs
  • Experiential Learning

Specifically, the office oversees the College’s overall performance-based assessment system by assisting programs with ongoing national, state, and university program assessment and accreditation efforts; managing the collection of information for various College reports; and working with external bodies including the Georgia Professional Standards Commission and Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. The office also helps with curricular changes within the College, oversees the Student Services Office, and coordinates international activities.

The College of Education partners with the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, the College of Family and Consumer Sciences, and the College of Arts and Sciences in its educator and other school personnel partnerships.
