The Georgia STEM Accessibility Alliance created BreakThru, a blended learning community that bridges the gap between the classroom and the virtual world to engage students in STEM based curriculums and resources. The project pairs students with disabilities to mentors who have expertise in a STEM field to help foster their pursuit of a STEM degree. The e-mentoring experience helps hone students' interest in a career or simply expand their knowledge of a STEM-related subject.

The Georgia STEM Accessibility Alliance is funded by the National Science Foundation Research in Disabilities Education Nos. 1027635 and 1027655.
