Abstract

Our long-term goal is to determine potential health benefits from cottonseed oil (CSO). We intend to do this by establishing whether CSO consumption can lower chronic disease risk in humans. In this particular project, our goal is to determine if lower doses of CSO can be equally effective as previously proven higher doses on cholesterol levels, fasting and postprandial lipid metabolism, and other markers of chronic disease risk.
