Athletic Training Lab
The Athletic Training Laboratory (1,800 square feet) hosts both undergraduate and graduate courses in the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. These include orthopedic evaluation, general medical evaluation, therapeutics, rehabilitation, and manual therapy. The lab also provides office space for graduate students in athletic training.
The recently renovated laboratory features a range of rehabilitation and evaluation tools for the assessment and treatment of injuries. The lab space is also used for research related to exercise-related heat illness and sport-related concussion.
Equipment
The lab is equipped with instructional aids for video projection, 12 full-size treatment tables with chairs, electric, ultrasound, and thermo-therapy modalities, and a variety of rehabilitation tools. Students have access to anatomic models and general medical evaluation tools such as blood pressure cuffs, otoscopes, stethoscopes, and pulse-ox monitors.Affiliated Faculty
