Needs Based Scholarships (PREVIEW)

Announcement

For Fall 2025, students WILL need to apply for needs-based scholarships to be considered. Learn more and apply by visiting the Specialized Department Scholarships webpage.

Starting in Fall 2026, the majority of our needs based scholarships will be awarded through the Office of Student Financial Aid and there will be no application process. Students that meet the financial need criteria will be automatically considered for these scholarships. If you have any questions regarding need based scholarships, please contact Rebekah Seabolt at rseabolt@uga.edu .

Eligibility

To be considered for needs-based scholarships you must:

  • be currently in an approved undergraduate or graduate program in the Mary Frances Early College of Education
  • be a U.S. Citizen or Eligible Non-Citizen as defined by the UGA Office of Student Financial Aid (OFSA)
  • have completed a FAFSA for the current academic year

Needs-Based Scholarships Handled by OSFA
