About the Donor

Helen and Eugene Bottoms are lifelong advocates for education and opportunity. Eugene, the oldest of five children, grew up on a farm in western Forsyth County and was the first in his family to graduate high school and attend college. He earned a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Education with a focus on counseling, and a Doctor of Education in counseling—all from the University of Georgia. Helen shares his deep commitment to education and earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Georgia as well. Together, they have dedicated their lives to supporting students and educators, driven by personal experience and a belief in the transformative power of learning. Their legacy of education extends across generations of their family and continues to impact others.
