The Chip Clendon Memorial Scholarship

The endowment that supports the Chip Clendon Memorial Scholarship was started by Ruth L. Langevin in 2015 in memory of George William “Chip” Clendon.

At a Glance

  • Eligibility: First preference shall be given to a junior or senior majoring in special education with financial need, as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid at the University of Georgia.

    • The recipient(s) will be selected by a committee appointed by the dean of the Mary Frances Early College of Education.
    • Applicants must have a current cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
  • Major: Any major in the Department of Communication Sciences and Special Education

  • Department: Communication Sciences and Special Education

Fund Purpose

The intent of the Chip Clendon Memorial Scholarship is to provide scholarship support for students in the Department of Communication Sciences and Special Education.
