Fund Purpose

The purpose of this fund is to award an annual fellowship to one or more students who are candidates for the Master of Education with a focus on intellectual disabilities/development delays in the Department of Communication Sciences and Special Education in the Mary Frances Early College of Education.

About the Donor

The Coral Jo Bishop Fellowship is supported by a University of Georgia Foundation endowment. Contributions to the endowment that supports this scholarship can be made through the University of Georgia Foundation with a specification that it should benefit the Coral Jo Bishop Fellowship Endowment (fund #7531800).

The family and estate of Coral Jo Bishop, and their Little Red Schoolhouse Foundation, are generous and longtime supporters of special education students at the University of Georgia. The fellowship, established in 1985, is typically awarded as a one-time scholarship of approximately $1,000-$3,000 to one or more students per year.
