Eligibility
Currently enrolled master’s students studying intellectual or developmental disabilities in the special education program are eligible to apply.How to Apply
This award is made during the Spring semester each year and may be applied to the student’s account for the Spring semester or for the immediately following Summer or Fall semester.
Applicants should submit a 2-page double-spaced personal statement addressing their qualifications for the award with respect to the specified eligibility criteria and intent to teach, following completion of the program, unofficial transcripts highlighting GPA, evidence of current enrollment at a specific program at UGA, and current resume by November 1st or the first business day thereafter.

The family and estate of Coral Jo Bishop, and their Little Red Schoolhouse Foundation, are generous and longtime supporters of special education students at the University of Georgia. The Fellowship, established in 1985, is typically awarded as a one-time scholarship of approximately $1,000-$3,000 to one or more students per year.
