The family and the estate of Ms. Coral Jo Bishop, and their Little Red Schoolhouse Foundation, are generous and longtime supporters of special education students at the University of Georgia. The Fellowship was established in 1985 and is usually awarded as a one-time scholarship of approximately $1,000-$3,000 to one or more students per year.
Currently enrolled master's students studying intellectual or developmental disabilities in in the special education program are eligible to apply.
All communication sciences and special education departmental scholarships are awarded in spring semester each year by a competitive application and review process to enrolled, continuing students for use in the following academic year. Application information will be circulated to all enrolled students every fall semester.
