The Jim Mann Scholarship was established by James T. Mann in 2004. This scholarship is awarded each semester to an undergraduate student majoring or with an emphasis area in early childhood education or middle grades education. The average award amount awarded to undergraduates is $600.

Eligibility

Awarded to an undergraduate student majoring or with an emphasis area in early childhood education or middle grades education who have completed at least 60 credit hours, has at least a 3.0 GPA and are scheduled to student teach in either the fall or spring of the upcoming academic year. The award criterion is academic achievement, conceived of broadly.

How to Apply

Submit all of the following materials to Linda Dunbar.

  • Signed application form
  • Personal statement
    (300 word max about yourself, your reasons for applying, your career plans)
  • Contact information for two (2) references (faculty members or instructors)
  • Resume/curriculum vitae
