About the Donor

This fund was created by Dr. Karen H. Jones in 2023 to support students pursuing Family and Consumer Sciences Education at the University of Georgia. A native of Savannah, Georgia, Dr. Jones knew from an early age that teaching was her calling. After teaching at the secondary and university levels and earning a doctorate, she joined the faculty of the Mary Frances Early College of Education at UGA.

Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to strengthening FACS education and preparing future teachers. Through this fund, she hopes to encourage the next generation of FACS educators and positively impact the students they will serve.
