The D. Keith Osborn Scholarship was established by Janie Osborn in honor of Dr. Keith Osborn who served the University of Georgia for twenty-six years and achieved the highest teaching honor of the Josiah Meigs Award. This scholarship is awarded annually to an undergraduate and graduate student majoring or with an emphasis area in early childhood education, middle grades education, or elementary education. The average award amount awarded to undergraduates is $700. The average amount awarded to graduate students is $1,000.

Eligibility

Awarded to an undergraduate and graduate student majoring or with an emphasis area in early childhood education, middle grades education, or elementary education who are scheduled to graduate in the upcoming fall, spring, or summer semesters. The award criterion is academic achievement, conceived of broadly.

How to Apply

Submit all of the following materials to Linda Dunbar.

  • Signed application form
  • Personal statement
    (500 word max about yourself, your academic/professional achievements, career plans)
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation
  • Resume/curriculum vitae
