Eligibility: Awarded to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a teacher preparation program or related field with demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid.
- Must be a Georgia resident
- Preference given to students of non-traditional age and to descendants of alumni of the State Normal School (SNS), later known as the Georgia State Teachers College (GSTC).
Major: Any major in the Mary Frances Early College of Education
Department: Any department in the Mary Frances Early College of Education

Fund Purpose

The purpose of the fund is to provide a scholarship for a Georgia resident admitted into the Mary Frances Early College of Education. Selection will be based upon good moral character, reasonably high grades, financial need, and an intended career in teaching or related fields. Preference will be given to descendants of alumni of SNS-GSTC, everything else being equal.

About the Donor

This fund was established in 1985 to memorialize former SNS-GSTC presidents and faculty and to aid future Georgia teachers studying at the University of Georgia.
