Certification Process for UGA Graduates Seeking Out-of-State Certification

If you are a UGA graduate seeking certification in another state, please follow the steps outlined below to ensure your out of state certification request is processed efficiently.

Steps for Out of State Certification

  1. Complete the State-Specific Out-of-State Certification Form:
    • Most states require an out-of-state certification form, which must be signed by the Certification Official.
    • Make sure to fill out your portion and include only the last four digits of your Social Security Number (do not include the full number).
  2. Email the form to Kate Character and include the following information:
    • Full legal name used at UGA
    • Georgia Certification ID Number (DO NOT include your full Social Security Number)
    • UGA Student ID (if possible, beginning with 81X)
    • Major, degree, and year of graduation
    • A phone number in case there are any questions
